Over 15,000 Signatures for Ekrem İmamoğlu from Northern Cyprus!
Mustafa Yürükçü of the CHP Northern Cyprus Representation announced that more than 15,000 signatures were collected in just eight hours during the primary election held in Northern Cyprus for Ekrem İmamoğlu. The primary, in which İmamoğlu was the sole candidate for CHP’s presidential nomination, garnered significant interest across the region.
By 5:00 PM yesterday, signatures were collected at centers in Nicosia, Kyrenia, and Famagusta, where voter turnout was notably high. According to Yürükçü, over 6,000 signatures were gathered in Nicosia, approximately 5,500 in Kyrenia, and more than 3,000 in Famagusta, surpassing 15,000 in total within a short time.
Expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the democratic process, Yürükçü stated, “As CHP Northern Cyprus Representation, we wholeheartedly thank everyone who has supported and worked for Turkey’s democratic struggle.” Quoting İmamoğlu’s signature slogan, he added, “As Ekrem Başkan has said, we shout once again: Everything will be beautiful!”
