İmamoğlu Condemns Insults Against Erdoğan's Family: "I Condemn It with All My Heart"

Reacting to immoral social media posts targeting his own family, particularly his wife and mother, İmamoğlu called for the public prosecutor to take action, stating, "Justice will be everyone's guarantee."

İmamoğlu shared his remarks on social media following the protests, where individuals insulted Erdoğan's family and made offensive posts about İmamoğlu’s wife Dilek İmamoğlu and his mother.

He expressed the following:

“I am facing one of the greatest injustices in our political history. Of course, we will fight using every legitimate means against the March 19 coup. However, even for this coup, I cannot accept insults against our mothers, who I regard as sacred, like bread, water, and air.

I wholeheartedly condemn the insults directed at the President’s mother. On this occasion, I wish him mercy from the Almighty.

I also call on the prosecutor’s office to take action against those who made immoral posts about my mother, wife, and family, taking advantage of our imprisonment. Those who open investigations at lightning speed for every issue seem to be looking for a place to hide when it comes to our family.

When we come to power, we will not do what you did to us. Justice will be everyone’s guarantee, and the law will ensure everyone’s personal and property security. No one will be able to infringe upon anyone’s property, honor, dignity, or integrity."
