PM Üstel: "We Took Steps Toward a Solution to Avoid Dividing Our Children"

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel emphasized the government's commitment to consultation and dialogue to prevent societal divisions following discussions on the Disciplinary Regulation.

Speaking after an extended consultation meeting, Üstel stated that they are seeking solutions through discussions with unions, political parties, and the Bar Association.
Üstel held an expanded consultation meeting with representatives from political parties, teachers' unions, and the Bar Association to address concerns regarding the Disciplinary Regulation.
Following the meeting in the "Blue Hall" at Parliament, Üstel noted that changes to the Disciplinary Regulation had led to some students being unable to take their exams, stressing that children are the country's future.
"We are searching for ways to resolve these issues through dialogue, ensuring that our children are not divided and that society remains stable," Üstel stated. He added that after discussing the matter with the government, they would reconvene with unions on Wednesday to find a resolution.
Underscoring the country's commitment to the rule of law, Üstel stated, "We must not confuse freedoms with religious beliefs. We prioritize dialogue to avoid tensions and divisions in society. We have initiated discussions to find a common solution through consultation."
