Their joint statement, released on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, emphasized that the meeting was a continuation of the informal expanded-format talks held under the auspices of the UN Secretary-General in Geneva. The leaders convened on their own initiative.

Tatar and Christodoulides agreed to establish a Bicommunal Youth Technical Committee, with each side selecting 12 members under the age of 35. A list of committee members will be submitted to the UN by April 15, with efforts to ensure gender balance.

On mine clearance, the leaders decided that the issue would be addressed at the level of the Greek Cypriot Negotiator and the Turkish Cypriot Special Representative. Both sides committed to proportionally sharing information on suspected hazardous areas.

Additionally, the Environmental Technical Committee was tasked with assessing the impact of minefields as part of broader efforts on environmental and climate change initiatives. The Cultural Heritage Technical Committee was assigned to work on the restoration of cemeteries.

During discussions on crossing points and solar energy projects in the buffer zone, both leaders engaged in a constructive exchange and instructed their representatives to continue working toward a mutually acceptable solution.
