Drugs and Firearms Seized
During an operation conducted by teams from the İskele Police Department, drugs, firearms, and ammunition were seized, and a 37-year-old individual, S.T., was arrested.
The operation, named the "Joint Force Operation," took place in Güvercinlik and Famagusta, involving teams from the Crime Prevention Branch and the Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Department.
According to the police press release, in the operation carried out today, searches were conducted at two separate residences in Güvercinlik and Famagusta, which were under the possession of S.T. (male, 37 years old). Approximately 50 grams of cannabis, about 75 grams of cocaine, a cigarette with a burnt tip containing cannabis mixed with tobacco, 224 pills believed to contain MDMA (Ecstasy), a precision scale believed to have traces of drugs, two 9mm caliber handguns with magazines, 26 live 9mm rounds, and 24 live 7.65mm rounds were found.
The seized items were taken as evidence. The individual in question has been arrested, and an investigation is ongoing.
