Palmas: Efforts to Resume Cyprus Negotiations Must Be Accelerated
Greek Cypriot Defense Minister Vasilis Palmas stated that efforts to restart Cyprus negotiations must be accelerated due to the rapid changes in geopolitical conditions and balances.
Speaking at a memorial service, Palmas noted that the world and regional security were being disrupted by critical events and wars during a challenging period. He emphasized, "We must be on alert and work to protect our homeland. With the awareness that the Turkish occupation and division cannot continue, we are working tirelessly for the resolution of our national issue," according to Fileleftheros.
