In a written statement on behalf of KTOEÖS, Gökçebel highlighted how recent changes in regulations and the postponement of exams had negatively impacted students and teachers, exacerbating existing problems.

He stated:

"Children and education are not a priority for the Ministry of Education!"

According to Gökçebel, due to the chaos created by the Ministry’s regulatory changes, exams had to be postponed at İrsen Küçük Secondary School and Bekirpaşa High School. Initially, the Ministry postponed exams at İrsen Küçük Secondary School and later decided to reschedule the makeup exams that were previously planned by the school administration. At Bekirpaşa High School, makeup exams scheduled to begin on April 7, 2025, were delayed again by the Ministry just days before the first exam.

Gökçebel continued:

"The Ministry of Education continues to worsen the chaos it has created, instead of resolving it. It is taking actions that disregard students preparing for exams and causing further distress. After İrsen Küçük Secondary School, the Ministry is pushing policies in Bekirpaşa High School that disregard the administration, teachers, and students, and are being imposed with pressure."

He concluded by calling on the Education Minister to address the real issues, stop creating unnecessary problems, and resign to open the path for a more effective education system.
