CTP Warns Government: Don’t Tamper with the Disciplinary Regulation Again!
The Republican Turkish Party (CTP) issued a stern warning to the government regarding the Disciplinary Regulation, urging them not to tamper with it again. The party emphasized that politics should not be made out of education, and children’s peace and well-being should not be disrupted.
CTP criticized the government for pushing forward with the regulation change despite public backlash, creating tension within the educational community. The party argued that the issue of education should not be politicized, as it concerns the future of children.
While the CTP called the withdrawal of the regulation “necessary,” they pointed out that the Ministry of Education continued with a top-down, coercive approach, further exacerbating the tension.
In the statement, CTP reaffirmed its commitment to protecting children and ensuring their educational rights, and announced support for the upcoming protest organized by teacher unions. The party vowed to stand with the public in opposing the crisis and preserving the peace in schools.
