Sami Özuslu Receives Most Votes in CTP's 29th Ordinary Congress

In the 29th Ordinary Congress of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), Sami Özuslu received the highest number of votes. The party implemented a gender quota for the new Party Assembly, with Sıla Usar İncirli, Filiz Besim, Feriha Tel, and Fide Kürşat securing places in the top 10.

The Congress, held on April 6, 2025, at the Atatürk Sports Hall in Nicosia, resulted in the election of new members for the Party Assembly. The session was chaired by Ferdi Sabit Soyer, with Cemal Türkler acting as the Secretary.
In the election, 32 female and 43 male candidates competed for the 75 seats of the Party Assembly, with delegates casting their votes.
Sami Özuslu, a Member of Parliament for Nicosia, received the most votes, followed by Ongun Talat from Kyrenia and Sıla Usar İncirli from Nicosia.
