Ercan Airport Serves Over 160,000 Passengers in 10 Days During Bayram Rush

Ercan Airport experienced a significant surge in traffic over the 10-day Ramazan Bayramı period, accommodating 160,023 passengers and 1,057 flights, according to data released by T&T Airport Operations.

The busiest days fell between Friday, 28 March and Sunday, 6 April, coinciding with the extended nine-day holiday period declared in Turkey. This resulted in a noticeable increase in both inbound and outbound air traffic at the airport.
Daily Peaks and Passenger Flow
On 28 March, Ercan Airport served 16,744 passengers and 113 flights, while on 6 April, the figure slightly rose to 17,012 passengers and 109 flights—marking the two busiest days of the period.
In total, Ercan welcomed 84,000 arriving passengers and saw off 76,023 departing passengers. Over the course of 10 days, 529 arriving and 528 departing flights were recorded.
