Erdoğan Meets with DEM Party Delegation

An important meeting is taking place in Ankara regarding the "terror-free Turkey" process. Turkish President Erdoğan is receiving the DEM Party delegation at the Presidential Complex (Beştepe).

The meeting includes National Intelligence Organization (MİT) President İbrahim Kalın, AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala, and DEM Party members Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan. The meeting, which everyone’s eyes are on in Ankara, has begun.
The meeting, which started at 1:30 PM, includes MİT President İbrahim Kalın, AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala, and DEM Party’s Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan.

STATEMENTS BEFORE THE MEETING
Before the meeting with President Erdoğan, Önder and Buldan made statements to journalists at the Parliament.
Pervin Buldan emphasized the importance of the meeting with President Erdoğan, saying, "President Erdoğan will express his views on what needs to be done. We will also inform him. We wish it is beneficial for Turkey."
Sırrı Süreyya Önder said, "We have brought the process to this point with great will and determination, and we have acted very cautiously. Everyone has behaved in the same way. We are grateful to the whole country for this."
EYES TURNED TO THE END OF APRIL
Before the meeting, AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala pointed to the end of April during an interview on NTV.
Efkan Ala stated that the "terror-free Turkey" process is progressing as planned, and they expect an important step towards the dissolution of the terrorist organization by the end of April.
POLITICAL PARTY TOUR
The DEM Party’s İmralı delegation has already conducted two rounds of meetings with political parties. During these rounds, they met with AK Party’s parliamentary leadership and deputy chairpersons.
Following their meeting with President Erdoğan, the delegation is expected to visit İmralı for the fourth time.
CALL FOR DISSOLUTION OF PKK
Meanwhile, all eyes are on when the terrorist organization will hold its congress after the call from İmralı to "dissolve yourselves."
MHP (Nationalist Movement Party) leader Devlet Bahçeli has pointed to May 4 as the date for the congress, saying, "Our proposal is to hold the PKK's congress in the Malazgirt district of Muş and put an end to the discussions about dissolution, finishing the matter once and for all."
