A- A A+

In response to Çavuşoğlu’s comments, Arıklı underlined that the current government is not a single-party administration and that YDP, despite being part of the coalition, has not surrendered its will to its partners.

“Being part of the government does not mean that YDP will stop expressing its sensitivities,” Arıklı said. He emphasized that remaining silent in the face of what he described as an “affront” to the Turkish Ambassador and to Turkey is not something YDP could justify to its grassroots supporters.

While expressing respect for coalition partners, Arıklı reiterated, “YDP does not seek permission from anyone before taking action.”
