Arıklı: Our Party Is Extremely Satisfied with President Tatar’s Performance
YDP (Rebirth Party) leader and Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Erhan Arıklı, stated that they are extremely satisfied with President Ersin Tatar’s performance over the past four and a half years. Arıklı also added that their support would continue if Tatar becomes the candidate for the government’s central position.
In a statement on his personal social media account, Arıklı announced that the YDP’s Party Council met last night and discussed the upcoming presidential election process. He also highlighted the comment made by President Tatar’s wife, Sibel Tatar, regarding the changes in the Disciplinary Regulation, mentioning that party members had expressed their concerns, particularly regarding Sibel Tatar’s statements.
Arıklı emphasized that the party was extremely pleased with President Tatar’s past four and a half years of performance and said, “Mr. Tatar has decided to run as an independent candidate, considering the sensitivities of our party.”
He continued with the following statement:
“If Mr. Tatar is the joint candidate of the three parties, our party will fully support him. Sibel Tatar’s statements are her own responsibility. As we have stated before, it would be unfair to hold Mr. Tatar accountable for her remarks.”
