Erkut Şahali Elected as New Secretary General of CTP

The CTP Party Assembly convened this evening at party headquarters for its first meeting following the party congress. During the meeting, the new Secretary General was elected. The race for the position included Asım Akansoy, Erkut Şahali, and Sıla Usar İncirli, with the final round contested between İncirli and Şahali. Following the second round of voting, Erkut Şahali was elected as Secretary General.

The assembly then proceeded to elect members of the Central Executive Committee (MYK), with members of the Party Assembly casting their votes once again.

The newly elected MYK members are as follows:

• Women’s Branch President: Doğuş Derya (Ex officio)

• Youth Branch President: İsmail Barbaros (Ex officio)

The CTP Central Executive Committee will determine the distribution of internal responsibilities at its first meeting.
