Barçın: Remarks Directed at Üstel Are Absolutely Unacceptable!

CTP (Republican Turkish Party) Member of Parliament Devrim Barçın responded to Turkey's Presidential Advisor Oktay Saral’s disparaging remarks about Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, stating, "While we may be politically at completely different points, this statement is absolutely unacceptable and unbecoming of the seriousness of the state."

Saral's comments, posted on his social media account, have drawn widespread criticism. He had written, "The Prime Minister of the TRNC (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus), hasn't spoken well, just spoken nonsense. Should the Imam be an enemy of headscarves? What a pity, what a shame, we still can't rid Cyprus of the Greekness."
Devrim Barçın took to social media to express his discontent, saying, "While we may be politically at completely different points, this statement is absolutely unacceptable and unbecoming of the seriousness of the state. Unfortunately, this is the point to which the culture of submission has brought us, and this remark is not aimed at Mr. Üstel, but at the people living in Cyprus. I hope necessary actions and statements are made immediately."
