Öztürkler stated that Saral’s comments undermined the dignity of politics and harmed the values of the community, emphasizing that “an attack on an elected leader is not merely a personal matter but a direct insult to the will of the people.”

In his full statement, Öztürkler said:

**“Oktay Saral’s condescending and insulting remarks against Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, who represents the will of the people, have cast a shadow over the dignity of politics and damaged our community’s values.

An attack on the person of an elected leader is not merely a personal issue; it is a direct disrespect to the will of the people. Anyone holding public office must uphold the responsibility their position requires. These remarks, which fall far outside the bounds of political decorum, harm the office they are associated with.

We will continue on our path without allowing such attacks, which target our unity and integrity, to damage our relationship with Motherland Turkey.”**
