The trial of public officials found to be at fault in the collapse of the Isias Hotel in Adıyaman, which claimed the lives of 72 people, including the "Champion Angels," will begin on Thursday, April 24.

The Adıyaman Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office filed charges in February against six public officials for their alleged roles in the collapse. The indictment accuses the defendants of “conscious negligence.”

The collapse of the Grand Isias Hotel occurred during the devastating earthquakes in Türkiye in February 2023 and resulted in the deaths of 72 people, including members of the TRNC’s school volleyball team.
