According to a statement from the union, veiled students have been systematically kept outside the school premises since the first day of the academic year, allegedly by certain individuals or families. The union claimed that the process appeared to be deliberate and organized.

It was also alleged that teachers have been subjected to threats from the Ministry of Education and insults from external actors. KTOEÖS further accused the school administration of pressuring teachers, claiming that the principal has threatened and harassed staff.

In response to the developments, KTOEÖS announced that it would carry out a strike beginning from the second lesson period today.
