Presidential Complex Nears Completion Ahead of May Opening

The construction of the new TRNC Presidential Complex in Nicosia, which also includes the Parliament, Prime Ministry, and a public park, is nearing completion.

Initiated by Turkey in 2022, the complex spans over 639,000 square metres and features various public amenities such as seating areas, a football pitch, a mosque, tennis courts, and a skate park.
The architecture mirrors that of Turkey’s Presidential Complex, and the opening ceremony is expected to be attended by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The Presidential Office and Parliament are set to relocate to the new site in early May.
Following the move, the current historic presidential building will be converted into a museum. The complex is also expected to centralize scattered state institutions in Nicosia, offering them expanded working space and improved coordination.
