Simultaneous inspections were conducted on Sunday evening between 20:00 and 24:00 in the districts of Famagusta, Kyrenia, and Morphou. According to a statement from the Police Press Office, one individual was arrested in Famagusta for residing in the country without legal status, while 44 individuals found in casinos despite being legally banned from entering were subjected to legal proceedings.
One Arrested for Illegal Residency in Famagusta
Authorities checked entertainment venues, licensed alcohol-selling establishments, nightclubs, coffee houses, and other public spaces. No irregularities were reported in Kyrenia or Morphou; however, in Famagusta, one individual was arrested for residing without a valid residency permit.
Casino Inspections in Two Districts: 44 Face Legal Action
Casino inspections in Famagusta and Kyrenia revealed 16 individuals in Famagusta and 28 in Kyrenia who were prohibited from entering casinos. Legal proceedings were initiated against all 44 individuals.
Traffic Inspections: 648 Drivers Reported, 17 Vehicles Banned from Roads

Famagusta: Of 718 drivers checked, 318 were reported for various offences. These included speeding (178), driving without a licence or insurance (1), mobile phone use while driving (2), not wearing a seatbelt (12), driving without registration (30), uninspected vehicles (1), ignoring traffic signs (44), uninsured driving (3), violating public transport regulations (1), not wearing a helmet on motorcycles (1), and other offences (45). Two vehicles were banned from traffic.

Kyrenia: Of 1,624 drivers inspected, 251 were reported. Offences included speeding (64), driving under the influence (8), not wearing seatbelts (14), uninsured driving (7), and other violations (158). Fifteen vehicles were taken off the roads.

Morphou: Police checked 752 drivers, reporting 79 for various infractions. These included speeding (31), driving without a licence or insurance (2), using a mobile phone while driving (2), not wearing seatbelts (15), and other offences (27).
The authorities reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing inspections aimed at maintaining public safety and road discipline.
