According to the Butchers’ Association President Kostas Livadiotis, between 800,000 and 900,000 kilograms of lamb and goat meat were circulated in the market during Easter week, sold at prices ranging from €13 to €15 per kilogram.

Fileleftheros reported that this substantial consumption occurred primarily on Easter Sunday and Monday, with the overall figure not including other meats such as pork, beef, or chicken, which would significantly raise the total holiday meat expenditure.
