5-Year-Old Child Hit by Car!
In a traffic accident that occurred in Kyrenia yesterday, 5-year-old Fatma Zehra Ünal was struck by a car while trying to cross the street. The injured child is receiving treatment at the Nicosia Emergency Hospital's Pediatric Surgery Department.
According to the Police Press Office, the incident took place at around 4:00 PM on Hasan Esat Işık Street in Kyrenia. Abdullah İskender, 31, was driving a sedan with the license plate NF 245, heading north. Due to his carelessness, he struck 5-year-old Fatma Zehra Ünal, who was running across the street from west to east.
Following the accident, Fatma Zehra Ünal was first treated at Kyrenia Dr. Akçiçek Hospital, and later transferred to the Pediatric Surgery Department at Nicosia Emergency Hospital for further observation.
The investigation is ongoing.
