CTP: Commitment to a Solution Still Stands

In a statement marking the 21st anniversary of the Annan Plan referendum, the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) reaffirmed that the Turkish Cypriot people’s desire for a solution remains as valid today as it was on April 24, 2004.

The written statement, released by the CTP Press Office, highlighted that April 24 marks the anniversary of the day the Turkish Cypriot people said “yes” to peace, resolution, and a federal future in front of the international community.
The statement emphasized that the Turkish Cypriot people decisively demonstrated their commitment to being part of the solution on that day in 2004:
"The result that emerged from the ballot box was not only support for a plan, but also a clear expression of the will to live within the framework of international law and to achieve a just peace. This will was a dignified step taken with the future of the Turkish Cypriot people’s children in mind."
