KOP President Yorgos Koumas Attends UEFA Office Opening in Istanbul

President of the Cyprus Football Association (KOP), Yorgos Koumas, attended the opening ceremony of UEFA's new representative office in Istanbul. The event, held at the historic Levent Mansion of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), marked UEFA's third external office after London and Brussels and was attended by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Ahead of the opening, a gala dinner was hosted at the Çırağan Palace Kempinski, with the attendance of TFF President İbrahim Ethem Haciosmanoğlu, UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin, and representatives from various national football federations. Yorgos Koumas was also present at the dinner, where he received notable attention from Haciosmanoğlu, with the two appearing to share a warm and friendly exchange.

With the establishment of this new office, Istanbul has solidified its position as one of the key international hubs of football, symbolically connecting continents through its rich history and strategic location.
