Flight Restrictions Imposed Due to TEKNOFEST Displays
The Civil Aviation Department has announced that flight restrictions will be in place from April 29 to May 5 due to the TEKNOFEST displays at Ercan Airport.
The department issued NOTAMs for the period between April 29 and May 5, as air shows will be held at the former Ercan Airport as part of the TEKNOFEST event.
In a statement released by the Civil Aviation Department, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, the following was stated:
"Accordingly, the relevant area will be covered by NOTAMs during the specified dates, from 10:00 to 13:00, 15:00 to 16:30, and 18:00 to 19:00. To ensure flight safety, some adjustments have been made to flight planning. In this context, drone, paragliding, and hang-gliding flights will be permitted during time slots outside these hours, provided that conditional coordination is established and approval is obtained from the Air Traffic Control Branch."
