Tatar: “The Symbol of Our Independence Will Stand Here for Centuries”
President Ersin Tatar declared that the new Presidential Complex will stand for centuries as a symbol of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus’s independence. His remarks came during the official opening ceremony of the Presidential Complex, which was completed after nearly three years of construction.
Welcoming Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his delegation to the newly completed complex, Tatar said, “It is a pleasure to host the President of the Republic of Turkey and his delegation at the new seat of the TRNC.”
Expressing heartfelt gratitude to Turkey for its support, Tatar stated, “The symbol of our independence will stand here for centuries.” He emphasized that the new Presidential Complex, which he described as “a building worthy of us,” is a gift from the Republic of Turkey and has become a defining symbol of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
