Following President Ersin Tatar’s welcoming address, Erdoğan expressed his great satisfaction at being in the TRNC and praised the inauguration of what he called “a magnificent work gifted to the Turkish Cypriot people.”

“This is no ordinary opening ceremony,” Erdoğan said. “Today, we not only inaugurate a new complex, we also declare our will, determination, and passion for liberty.”

Highlighting the symbolic significance of the project, Erdoğan stated, “We are stamping another seal on these lands.” He emphasized that the complex would serve not just as a physical structure, but as a proud symbol of the Turkish Cypriot people's resilience.

Erdoğan outlined the details of the project, which spans 639,475 square meters and includes the presidential office, the Republican Assembly, the high court, and a national park. He announced that the first phase—the presidential and parliamentary buildings—was now open, with the national park, mosque, and high court to follow.

Calling the complex “a symbol of the Turkish Cypriot people’s determination,” Erdoğan concluded by reaffirming Turkey’s support: “Together we will build more successes, more achievements. Those who try to sow division or spread hatred will not succeed.”
