Erhürman: Approach Property Issue With Knowledge and Reason, Not Showmanship
Republican Turkish Party (CTP) leader Tufan Erhürman has called for a rational and informed approach to the issue of property disputes, following two recent conviction rulings in related cases in the south.
In a social media post, Erhürman emphasized the need to move away from populist rhetoric and instead address the matter with reason and expertise.
Referring to the growing public concern over similar legal risks, Erhürman said, “Whether foreign or TRNC citizen, many people are worried about facing similar proceedings or outcomes.”
Criticizing what he described as outdated and theatrical approaches to such serious matters, he warned, “This attitude has long been opening the door to problems both domestically and internationally.”
He concluded by underlining the urgency of adopting a more responsible stance: “We can’t make progress with outdated stunts aimed at playing to the crowd. What we need is knowledge and reason—not showmanship.”
