Ahmet Tokatlıoğlu Released Following Forgery Allegations

Ahmet Tokatlıoğlu, a Central Executive Committee member of the People's Party (HP), who was arrested on suspicion of forging documents, has been released after it was determined that the signatures on the powers of attorney belonged to his father.

The police confirmed that an investigation revealed the signatures in question were indeed those of Tokatlıoğlu’s father.

The court ruled that Tokatlıoğlu be released pending trial under the condition that he remains barred from leaving the country. Additionally, a Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus citizen must sign a bail bond worth 500,000 TL, and Tokatlıoğlu is required to pay a cash guarantee of 20,000 TL.
