Two Injured in Traffic Accidents in Famagusta, Nicosia and Alayköy
Two people were injured in three separate traffic accidents that occurred yesterday and today on the Famagusta, Nicosia, and Alayköy main roads.
According to the police bulletin, early this morning in Alayköy, Sevim Özdemir (30), driving under the influence of 106 mg of alcohol, failed to stop at the Türkeli junction and collided with a vehicle driven by Gökhan Bayram (30). Özdemir was injured and taken to Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital.
In another incident at 3:30 a.m. in Nicosia, Sudenaz Onay (22), driving with 137 mg of alcohol in her system, lost control of her vehicle, which hit a curb, a billboard, a tree, and then overturned. She sought treatment at Near East University Hospital.
In Famagusta last night, Tolga Yavuz (30), with 199 mg of alcohol in his system, rear-ended a car slowing down at a speed bump. No injuries were reported. Legal action was initiated against Yavuz.
