Erdoğan Reaffirms Turkey’s Unwavering Support for Turkish Cypriots and the TRNC
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has reiterated Turkey’s unwavering support for the Turkish Cypriot people and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), following his visit to the island on May 3.
Speaking after a cabinet meeting at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, Erdoğan recalled his recent visit to the TRNC, where he proudly attended the inauguration of the new Republic Complex, completed within three years. He also took part in the first-ever TEKNOFEST 2025 event held in the TRNC.
“As the motherland and guarantor, we once again reaffirmed our steadfast support for the Turkish Cypriot people and the TRNC,” Erdoğan said.
He expressed his well wishes for the newly inaugurated Presidential Office and Parliament buildings, describing them as symbolic elements of the Republic Complex. Erdoğan also congratulated all institutions and companies involved in the construction of the facilities.
