Guterres Welcomes PKK’s Decision to Disband
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has welcomed the announcement by the PKK to disband and lay down arms.
Speaking at the UN's daily press briefing, spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric conveyed Guterres’s support for the move, stating that the Secretary-General views the decision positively.
Dujarric added, “The Secretary-General believes that if the PKK follows through on its declaration, it would mark a significant step toward resolving a long-standing conflict.”
