School Bus Overturns in Yenierenköy: Driver and 10 Students Injured

A serious traffic accident occurred in the Yenierenköy in Karpaz region today when a school bus overturned, leaving the driver and ten students injured. The incident caused panic in the area, with emergency teams rushing to the scene.

According to a statement from the Police Press Office, the accident took place at around 1:00 PM on a secondary road east of Yenierenköy High School. The bus, bearing license plate TET 123 and driven by 32-year-old Yahya Güngör, was traveling northbound on the Yenierenköy-Dipkarpaz route when it veered off the road and overturned.

The injured driver and students were transported by ambulance to Famagusta State Hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment. Police noted that the transfer of some of the injured to medical facilities is still ongoing.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
