Two People Assault Police in Kyrenia
In an incident that took place around 2:00 a.m. on 20th July at Kordonboyu Street in Kyrenia, two individuals identified as A.T. (male, 42) and R.Ö.T. (female, 42), reportedly under the influence of alcohol, caused a disturbance.
While intoxicated, the pair were shopping at a kiosk when police officers on duty warned them to pay their bill and to avoid shouting loudly. The individuals responded with insults and refused to provide a breathalyzer sample.
When the police attempted to arrest them, A.T. and R.Ö.T. resisted and assaulted the officers, preventing them from carrying out their duties. Both suspects were subsequently detained, and investigations by the police are ongoing.
