YDP Awaits Party Council Decision on Presidential Endorsement
Rebirth Party (YDP) will clarify its support for the upcoming presidential election after a scheduled Party Council (PM) meeting.
Party leader Erhan Arıklı, currently in Ankara, is expected to return soon, with the meeting planned for May 21, though it may be postponed if his visit extends. The key question remains whether YDP will back incumbent President Ersin Tatar, who runs as an independent with UBP support, or another candidate.
The election is anticipated in October, with President Tatar and CTP leader Tufan Erhürman confirmed as candidates so far.
