Temperatures to Rise Up to 37°C by the Weekend
According to the Meteorology Department’s weekly forecast covering May 20–26, temperatures will rise gradually toward the weekend, reaching up to 37°C in inland areas.
The region will be under the influence of a high-pressure system with mild weather in the first half of the week, followed by a low-pressure system bringing hotter and relatively humid air in the latter half.
Skies are expected to remain mostly clear or partly cloudy throughout the week, with patchy morning fog forecast for Wednesday.
Inland temperatures will range between 30–33°C in the early part of the week, climbing to 34–37°C later on. Coastal areas will see more moderate temperatures between 26–29°C.
Winds will generally blow from the south and west at moderate strength, becoming occasionally strong on Friday.
