South's Cabinet to Approve Campaign to Bring Back Cypriots from the UK

The S Cyprus's cabinet is set to approve its general action plan to bring back Cypriot talent from abroad, which it will announce in London, the first stop of its global drive to make Cyprus attractive to its own people.

In statements on Tuesday, opening the cabinet meeting, President Nikos Christodoulides said the Minds in Cyprus effort, in cooperation with the Cyprus chamber of commerce and industry (Keve) and Invest Cyprus, included criteria and incentives for the repatriation of talented Cypriots.
“I want to thank everyone involved in the effort to have this action plan with very specific criteria, which we will be announcing,” in London on Wednesday, he said.
He added that Cyprus is able “to repatriate talent, we need people, we need scientific staff.”
The aim, he said, was to make this happen through “this great effort”.
“I am happy because we have surpassed 750 people. Unfortunately, we had to turn down more participation and that is why the whole event will be streaming online so that as many people as possible have the opportunity to watch it,” Christodoulides said.
