Holguín to Visit Cyprus for Key Contacts Between 24–31 May
United Nations Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy on Cyprus, María Ángela Holguín Cuéllar, will visit the island from 24 to 31 May for a new round of contacts with both Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot leaders, their representatives, and other relevant parties.
UN Secretary-General Spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric told CNA that during her visit, Holguín also intends to engage with representatives of the three guarantor powers—Greece, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.
The visit is part of ongoing efforts to assess prospects for the resumption of formal negotiations on the Cyprus issue.
