Erhürman: People’s Problems Are Growing, Everyone Is Aware

Referring to a recent mass meeting held in İskele, Erhürman said the realities are unfolding in the field, and his party will continue to be present among the people.

Sharing a statement on social media, Erhürman criticized recent political discourse, saying:

“While in Nicosia, the mindset responsible for driving this society straight into a wall reaches new heights with 'brilliant and creative' ideas such as 'let's close the checkpoints,' we were in İskele. We held our mass meeting and met with local mukhtars. On the ground, our people's problems are growing like an avalanche. Contrary to what some believe, everyone is fully aware of everything.

While people in the field are complaining that our children do not want to live behind closed doors and are turning their eyes to emigration, some individuals here are 'creative' enough to suggest closing the few checkpoints that remain open.

Fortunately, life doesn’t happen within these narrow, everyday agendas—it happens and flows in the field. And we will continue to be in the field, among our people.”
