Tatar Urges Turkic States to Launch Direct Flights to the TRNC

President Ersin Tatar called on members of the Organization of Turkic States to initiate direct flights to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), particularly from Baku, during his address at the 7th International Turkic World Tourism Congress, hosted by Eastern Mediterranean University.

Highlighting the unifying potential of tourism, President Tatar stated, “A stronger Turkic world can emerge through the unity of our 300-million-strong family.” He emphasized the importance of enhancing tourism activities to deepen ties among Turkic states and reiterated his call for direct flights to the TRNC, which is already easily accessible from across Turkey.
"TRNC Is a Center of Attraction"
Describing the TRNC as “the pearl of the Eastern Mediterranean and the heart of the Blue Homeland,” Tatar affirmed the TRNC’s status as an inseparable and respected member of the Turkic world. He stressed that Cyprus, with its natural beauty, historical heritage, and cultural richness, is a major attraction. President Tatar also noted that they are working closely with Turkey to more effectively promote these assets to the world.
