Nationwide Traffic Inspections: 289 Drivers Reported, 23 Vehicles Banned from Roads

A total of 1,648 drivers were inspected during nationwide traffic operations, resulting in 289 drivers being reported for various traffic violations. Twenty-three vehicles were also banned from the roads.

According to a statement from the Police Press Office, legal proceedings have been initiated against the reported individuals for offenses such as speeding, driving without a license, driving under the influence, and other infractions.

The breakdown of violations is as follows:

  • 151 for exceeding the legal speed limit

  • 22 for driving without a valid road license

  • 8 for driving uninspected vehicles

  • 5 for using a mobile phone while driving

  • 5 for operating public transport vehicles without a T-permit

  • 4 for driving under the influence of alcohol

  • 4 for driving without wearing a seatbelt

  • 4 for failing to obey traffic signs and signals

  • 2 for driving uninsured vehicles

  • 1 for driving without a license and without insurance coverage

  • 83 for other traffic-related offenses

The police emphasized their commitment to ongoing inspections to ensure road safety across the country.
