Council of Ministers Postpones Teachers' Union Strike at Bekirpaşa High School

The Council of Ministers has postponed a planned strike by the Cyprus Turkish Secondary Education Teachers’ Union (KTOEÖS) at Bekirpaşa High School for 60 days. The decision was published in the Official Gazette.

KTOEÖS had announced that a strike would take place today between 7:55 a.m. and 1:05 p.m., citing pressure on teachers who were protesting the implementation of the Disciplinary Regulations at the school.

Following the announcement, the Council of Ministers invoked its authority to defer the industrial action, delaying the strike for a period of 60 days.
