The vessel departs Limassol port at midday carrying 187 passengers, 66 vehicles, 36 motorcycles and 8 pets on its first 2025 voyage to Piraeus. Advance bookings have reached 6,500 tickets across the ship’s 22 scheduled routes this season, with approximately 2,000 vehicles registered for transport.

August sailings have sold out completely, whilst tickets remain available for June and July departures. The final voyage is scheduled for 2 September from Piraeus port.

Service improvements and pricing

The managing company has renovated the vessel with lounge modifications and new carpeting, according to Charalambos Manoli, one of the directors. Plans exist for onboard events during voyages.

Ticket prices show a minimal increase of approximately one euro compared to previous seasons. Bicycle transport remains free of charge.

Government contract extension

The Cabinet extended the Cyprus-Greece passenger maritime service contract through 2027 in August 2024, based on passenger numbers transported between 2022-2024.

Total figures across three years of operation show 22,582 passengers, 7,641 vehicles and 772 pets travelled on the Daleela service.

Target passenger demographics

The route particularly serves passengers unable to travel by air due to health conditions, age considerations or flight anxiety, offering an alternative means of reaching Greece with personal vehicles.

Manoli expressed confidence that 2025 demand will exceed optimistic forecasts, continuing the service’s growth trajectory since operations began.
