Illegal E-Cigarettes Seized in Kyrenia 'PUFF' Operation
Officers from the Crime Prevention Unit of the Kyrenia Police Directorate seized 40,000 puffs’ worth of illegal electronic cigarettes during an operation dubbed "PUFF."
The operation took place on 29 May 2025 at around 10:45 p.m. in Ramadan Cemil Square, Kyrenia. During the operation, police searched a car with license plate LU 410, owned and used by Yıldırım Oğuz Çelik. In the vehicle's trunk, officers discovered 37 Vozol-brand electronic cigarettes in various flavours, all classified as prohibited imports.
Legal action has been initiated against the suspect, who was fined for possession of duty-free goods.
