Buse Savaşkan Finishes Second at Opole High Jump Festival
Elite athlete Buse Savaşkan of the TRNC Athletics Federation secured second place at the 19th Opole High Jump Festival in Poland with a jump of 1.88 metres—her best performance of the season so far.
Competing at the Opole City Stadium as part of the World Athletics Continental Tour – Silver, Savaşkan successfully cleared heights of 1.74, 1.78, 1.82, 1.85, and 1.88 metres on her first attempts. Although she was unable to clear 1.91 metres, her 1.88-metre result earned her second place overall.
Sweden’s Engle Nilson claimed first place with a jump of 1.93 metres. Savaşkan’s strong showing has reinforced her competitive standing for the remainder of the season.
