Tırpan Operation in Hamitköy: Five Arrested in Major Drug Bust
In a joint operation carried out in Hamitköy last night around 9:00 p.m., officers from the Anti-Narcotics and Anti-Smuggling Directorate and the Crime Prevention Branch of the Nicosia Police Department seized one kilogram of cannabis and arrested five individuals.
The operation, code-named "Tırpan," targeted a residence where suspects C.N.U. (M-29), J.A.O. (M-22), and K.H.C. (F-29) were found in possession of cannabis believed to be prepared for sale, packaged in multiple units. The narcotics were confiscated as evidence.
Two other individuals, B.M.I. (M-29) and L.N.C. (M-25), believed to be connected to the case, were also taken into custody.
Police confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
