In a written statement issued to address speculation in the media and on social platforms, police said the investigation is being conducted meticulously, with no detail overlooked.

An autopsy performed on 31 May 2025 revealed no signs of injuries from sharp or piercing objects, strangulation, or physical assault. Scratches on the face, chin, and forehead were consistent with postmortem contact with rocks, while abrasions on the knees were determined to have occurred both before and after death. A small amount of bleeding was observed on the surface of the brain, and foam was found in the lungs and trachea, suggesting drowning. The cause of death was reported as "cerebral haemorrhage and drowning."

Police said Kilitçioğlu arrived alone at the location. Her body was found face down among rocks, and her personal belongings—including a camp chair, blanket, and clothing—were discovered 147 metres away on the beach. Her car was parked one kilometre to the south, locked.

No signs of another person's presence were found at the scene, apart from Kilitçioğlu’s own barefoot prints. Her mobile phone, car keys, and electronic cigarette remain missing despite land and sea searches.

To date, investigators have examined 410 pages of phone records, taken 19 written statements, and consulted more than 50 individuals. About 600 hours of footage out of 1,800 hours from 120 different security cameras have been reviewed, with analysis ongoing.

The PGM cautioned the public against drawing conclusions based on speculation, stating, “Comments suggesting murder are not grounded in scientific data.” The police emphasised that no evidence or testimony has been found indicating the involvement of another person in Kilitçioğlu’s death.

The investigation remains active and impartial, with authorities urging the public to await developments based on factual and scientific findings.
