The drill, planned to take place in Famagusta, coincided with the Caner Gönyeli Exercise, prompting the postponement to ensure operational efficiency, as the Civil Defence Organisation is set to take an active role in both events.

According to the statement, the decision was made to prevent reduced effectiveness resulting from the simultaneous execution of two large-scale exercises. It was also noted that rescheduling would allow the Civil Defence drill, which is expected to involve participation from all public institutions, to be carried out in a more efficient and comprehensive manner.

The rescheduled shelter and evacuation drill will take place on Friday, 27 June at 10:00 a.m. near Namık Kemal High School on Polatpaşa Boulevard in Famagusta.
