Video of Two Police Officers Having Sex Outdoors Goes Viral Worldwide
In Larnaca, videos showing two Greek Cypriot police officers engaging in sexual activity in an open area were recorded from a distance and shared on social media, spreading worldwide.
According to Fileleftheros and other newspapers, the officers—both reportedly married to other people—have been suspended and are under criminal and disciplinary investigation.
Health Worker Arrested for Sexual Assault in Famagusta Hospital
The same newspaper reported that a 49-year-old healthcare worker at the Famagusta Hospital was arrested for sexually assaulting a foreign patient undergoing a health screening required for a work permit. This individual was previously arrested seven years ago for a similar crime while working at Larnaca Hospital, was suspended at the time, and later resumed work at Famagusta Hospital after the suspension period ended.
New Child Sexual Abuse Case in Southern Cyprus Football
Fileleftheros also covered another case of child sexual abuse, which remains a frequent issue in Southern Cyprus. A 16-year-old football player was reportedly pressured by his club’s manager to provide nude photos. The incident happened in February 2023 but was reported to the police only in June 2025. The club manager was granted an eight-day detention order by the court. The victim told police that the manager had also asked another player for nude photos in exchange for €50 and sexual favors, which the other player accepted.
