Ertuğruloğlu Slams Israeli FM Remarks Targeting Erdoğan
Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu has strongly condemned the remarks made by Israel’s Foreign Minister on social media targeting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, describing them as “yet another example of Israel’s traditional lies and slander.”
In a written statement, Ertuğruloğlu accused Israel of attempting to cover up the crimes it has committed through its inhumane attacks in Gaza. Referring to Turkey’s intervention in Cyprus, he stated, “Our guarantor, Turkey, exercised its rights under international agreements to stop the bloodshed in Cyprus and protect the Turkish Cypriots from genocide. Turkey has established peace and security on the island—and continues to do so.”
Ertuğruloğlu underlined that Turkey and President Erdoğan have always stood on the side of justice and righteousness, stressing that Israel's crimes against humanity in Gaza cannot be concealed with lies and slander.
